Terrible Management is
I lived at this property for over 2.5 years when it was under Camden management, and I was very happy during that time. Camden managed this community professionally and consistently. Unfortunately, the property was sold in October 2025, and in just two months under the new ownership I experienced more issues than I had in over 10 years with Camden across multiple properties.
To be fair, I’ll give credit where it’s due: they honored my transfer terms to another Camden property (which the lease required anyway). That’s about where the positives end.
The office staff is extremely unresponsive and disorganized. We submitted our intent to vacate on November 24, which was ignored for weeks. I eventually walked it into the office myself—only to later find out it was never logged. The same thing happened when we turned in our keys on December 30. No record of that either.
So when January 1 rolled around, we were charged rent and late fees. When we complained, suddenly no one knew anything about us moving out. Not surprising, considering the lack of basic paperwork or record keeping. Eventually, the charges were corrected, and I thought the ordeal was over.
Then came the attempt to charge us for “wall damages” with no itemization whatsoever. This is especially frustrating given that our apartment experienced at least five documented water leaks during our tenancy. It’s clear they are trying to push make-ready costs onto tenants, regardless of fault.
After they fired the on-site security guard, my car was broken into the day before we moved out, costing me $600 to repair the window. After paying out of pocket for that, I am absolutely not paying them to repaint an apartment.
Given the timing and pattern of these charges—after repeated complaints and clear dissatisfaction with management—it strongly feels retaliatory, as though they are attempting to penalize us rather than address their own operational failures.
As of now, the charges remain unresolved. At this point, it appears I may have to fight this through credit agencies or in court, not because of the amount, but on principle—they failed to follow basic guidelines and procedures, and tenants should not be punished for management’s lack of compliance.
Overall, this management company caused unnecessary stress and headaches. I would strongly recommend steering clear. If you’re apartment hunting, hire a good apartment locator—they’ll point you toward communities with competent, professional management.
Property Manager Responded: Hello Eli - We are disappointed to hear you do not agree with the move out charges you incurred. However, we want to make sure we provide the best home possible to the next resident just as we did with you. These charges were due to the cleaning and repairs needed to your home, and our team provided photos and descriptions of the charges in your Final Account Statement. If you have any additional questions about these charges, please give our office a call at (833) 549-4754, and we would be happy to speak with you further. Thank you, Maggie at CWS Customer Care
