They did not clean the unit AT ALL between tenants until the morning on the day of our move in and the cleaning took all day so they didn’t even let us in until late in the afternoon after we had supposedly paid rent for an apartment starting that day. When we finally got in the unit, hardly any maintenance on broken fixtures was done (so much for the maintenance fee they charge upon move in) and we immediately found a HORRIBLE cockroach infestation throughout the apartment (like 50 of them were... found alive within 2 hours of being there). The office lied to me directly and said the unit had been treated for bugs between tenants, and later in the day they admitted that was false because pest control only comes on Tuesdays and the previous tenants hadn’t been out for even a full week. They were so greedy for rent money that they didn’t even leave a week of time to fix the apartment up, and they didn’t even bother checking for bugs, which would have been very hard to miss if any effort was being put in at all. Even now they won’t give us any help other than saying that normal pest control will come on tuesdays to get us out of their offices. Terrible management, terrible company, terrible apartments. And everyone else here is so right about the gross stained hallways too

**PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE MOVING IN HERE**
My experience at Gateway Crossing Apartments has been terrible.
1. The management is deceptive, rude, and unhelpful.
2. Parking is very poor as most of the parking spots are unavailable after 8 pm during the weekdays.
3. We left our apartment in very good condition and yet we were unfairly and unreasonably charged absurd amounts at the time of moving out for normal wear and tear such as chipped paint.
4. Towing is enforced very aggressively which... causes major problems for unsuspecting guests.
5. The staircase is very dirty and has oil, grease, and dirt smeared everywhere.
I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone because of my terrible experiences.

My boyfriend and I had moved in late August 2022. Since then, we have had our vehicle broken into TWICE!!! The first time it happened, we were parked along the side road (outside) of the apartments perimeter, the backside. Keep in mind, parked directly under a light post, and 5 feet from the entrance of the first floor renters door. Nobody heard a thing.. that was two weeks in of being moved in.... THEN... After the damages were fixed, we got the vehicle back and parked it INSIDE the apartment... complex. Again, under a bright light post... BROKEN INTO AGAIN!!!! This time with an electric drill. Did anyone hear it? See it happening? No. Of course not. We have made two police reports. One week later, on our new vehicle, the truck had something wedged into the driver side door. Seems like a marking for them to hit this truck next? I don't know but there are ZERO CAMERAS around the facility and the staff have nothing to say about it but "sorry". Why is it that we are paying So much in rent, yet.. we can't get a camera or two on each building? We want to move. We don't feel safe. This isnt safe. Neighbor's to the left, right, and above us are constantly fighting. I get it. Renting has it's up and downs but THIS constant breaking in has us on edge. We can't sleep at night without going outside a couple times from the second floor without checking our vehicle's. Please management. Do better.

Don’t let these reviews fool you. I lived at this place for 5 years. I recently moved out in July 2022 because this place is a joke. Management is horrible and ever changing, the grounds are dirty and unkept, there is a pest problem (ants and roaches), there’s dog poop EVERYWHERE now (the stairs, pool area, and in front apartments)and so much more. It’s hard to maneuver around the complex now due to so much construction around the complex. So many longtime tenants have moved out now because of... the horrible treatment from the management team. The day I moved out there were 7 other residents moving out the same building as me. It’s sad to see this once precious place go downhill so rapidly. Also, they are now trying to charge me almost $100 fee for carpet cleaning, when my lease states that a carpet cleaning fee is only charged if the carpet is left damaged. I have been emailing and calling for almost 2 weeks now asking for photographic evidence that my carpet was damaged and no one has gotten back to me yet. I have photos and videos on the state/condition I left my old apartment in and there’s no carpet damage at all. It was cleaned very thoroughly. Do NOT move here if you enjoy having your sanity.

I really wanted to like this place. But as the months go on, I'm counting down the days when my lease ends. When I first moved in, the unit was infested with cockroaches and it took nearly a month before they were gone. There's always trash and dog poop littered everywhere around the apartment complex. There are rats crawling around the pool area. And the smart locks on the gym malfunction at least once a month. So we can't enter/use the gym because it takes them days or weeks to fix it. And... we're paying for these "smart" features. I used to not think I need a gated community but one time a homeless man tried to get into the gym by banging on the glass doors and windows. I was definitely spooked. The one good thing is that I haven't had any issues with their AC and heating system.
